Sometimes we choose change...
...and sometimes change chooses us!
Change can be exciting and enlivening, but it can also be stressful and challenging, especially when change has found its way to our doorstep uninvited, and when we have a tendency to overthink things.
When this happens…
We worry.
We get ahead of ourselves and try to predict and control future events.
We get stuck in the past.
We obsess on how perfect everything needs to be.
We second guess.
We struggle to make decisions.
We run through countless scenarios in our minds…most of which
never happen.
We live in an imaginary space that is so “noisy” and confusing with of
all the thinking.
…and because of all of this we are less confident, less productive, and less happy.
So how can we do something different? How can we avoid getting so caught up in our thinking? How can we connect with ourselves, trust ourselves and be available to engage with life’s challenges in a more effective way? How can we do more important stuff with less mental noise?

The short answer is to be present in our own life. When we set aside the mind and come back to our senses, to our body and to our actions, things get better! It’s a simple solution, but that doesn’t mean that it is an easy solution.
At Balance Mind Coaching we will work together to…
-
Notice the patterns that aren’t working – the moments and situations where you go to the mind in an attempt to understand your situation, look for answers and predict the future.
-
Learn and apply strategies for setting aside the thinking and the “stories,” allowing you to place your attention on your senses and the present moment where you have the capacity to really impact your situation.
-
Engage with the mind in helpful and productive ways while you remain connected to yourself and to the present moment.
When you can do this consistently, you will be amazed at how enjoyable and exciting life is, and how capable and confident you feel even in the face of big changes and important new opportunities.
“Change is not a threat, it’s an opportunity. Survival is not the goal, transformative success is.”
